Fraternal Teasing

After seeking my boss' consent, I took on a second job to help make ends meet and to gain some valuable experience in another type of employment setting.

I started yesterday.

While there, I encountered a man who is a member of the same religious order as my primary employer. He asked me how things were at the church, and noted that he knew my boss back in 1986. He said that back then, he regularly looked around their chapel and saw a tiny little man on his knees, praying fervently.

I joked that not much has changed in 22 years.

He laughed and quipped, "Even the prayer is the same: 'Holy s%&#, Lord, what am I doing here?"

I know I certainly have said that same prayer!
