With Epiphany this weekend comes the realization that Christmas is nearly over. After the sixth Christmas Mass, I headed out of the city, spending time with family and friends back at home. We ate too much, shopped too much, baked too much, played Wii Sports too much (seriously ... ow!), and over the week I saw "Doubt" and "Slumdog Millionaire" at the theatre. Both were fantastic for different reasons.
Unfortunately one of my friends lost his dad on Christmas Day, so we went to the funeral home visitation to support him and his family. Otherwise the week was very restful and enjoyable. Now I'm reluctantly looking towards tomorrow's return to work and normalcy, glad for the break I enjoyed and sad to realize there will be no breaks for quite a while to come and many difficult projects and goodbyes ahead.
