A couple of things said caused me to stifle my giggles with different sets of kids I worked with yesterday:
- A six-year-old I was teaching to read informed me that the country below Canada is United Steak. Mmm... pass the BBQ sauce!
- My "catch up" First Communion class of older children asked what "Lamb of God" meant. I explained that just like a lamb, Jesus was innocent but slaughtered for our sins. One of the boys corrected me, "They didn't slaughter him. They nailed him." I'm glad that he didn't get that question from the bishop at his Confirmation...
