The loading and unloading and loading and unloading of items for our big event on Friday went very smoothly this afternoon. My boss was an incredibly good sport about it and although I thought he was going to have a heart attack at one point, he assured me I hadn't killed him at the end of our adventures.
Driving all over the city also gave us a chance to talk a little bit about the little changes coming our way at the parish as well as just some more personal things; he told me a bit about some of his friends and his time in theological studies and I reiterated to him in language I think he understood that I had gone totally blind from eye problems before and I had to be careful that wouldn't happen again. (After that, he refused to let me lift anything heavy so I think it sunk in!) As we went around town he kept pointing out sites that belong to or used to belong to religious orders which was educational for me. We just have to do it once more next week to return everything after the big event has come to an end. When I said to him at one point that he shouldn't worry, I have no desire to do this type of thing again, he said, "Don't say that!" I think he's on my side after all.
