- The boss gave me a couple of chocolate eggs as an Easter gift. He suggested to me that I should cut them up and enjoy little pieces to make them last a long time, after Easter, of course. I informed him they would be lucky to see the end of the day, and little pieces wouldn't last any longer than if I ate the thing in one sitting. Which I haven't yet, but the night is still young.
- A parishioner let me squeeze into her pew for the Mass so I could get out quickly and easily as needed. One of those times was at the foot washing, where several of us swooped onto the altar to arrange twelve chairs, and then flew back in to remove them afterwards. The parishioner commented after Mass how professionally done and smoothly that went. The seminarian and I had worked hard on this detail, and so this compliment was appreciated. You don't really know how things like that look until someone says something.
- One of the parishioners gave me an absolutely stunningly beautiful orchid (pictured). I was so touched by this gesture. A lady saw me in the elevator on the way home and said, "Ohhh, someone loves you very much!"
- The seminarian gave me a lift home, which after trekking there and back, there and back, and there again, was a very kind-hearted end to the day.
