Course

I'm all done and certified Standard First Aid - Level "C" CPR/AED after two highly intense days of theoretical and practical exercises in my course. I have pulled muscles I didn't know I had doing chest compressions on various dummies.

I was quite nervous about the exam needed to pass the course and spent a good 90 minutes studying at home after the 9 hours of in-class lessons yesterday evening, plus doing exercises and reading ahead during my coffee and lunch breaks yesterday and today. However, I knew everything would be okay when I was presented with my AED dummy this afternoon. He was wearing a bright red medic T-shirt emblazoned with the logo used during the most recent visit of a Pope to this city, an event I attended with about a million other young people.

What a fantastic sign. :)

Even though the instructor did the exam with us, I am fairly sure I would have gotten all of the answers right anyway. It wasn't as bad as I thought.

I may, however, need to sleep until Sunday or so to resuscitate some of my own energy...
