Summer camp is officially done! The day was successful, nobody died and nobody got hurt during the water gun fight and other games and activities I had planned. Some of the kids even said thanks at the end, which was nice.
So, I'm three days away from a break and I hope we will have a quiet remainder of the week. I am very much looking forward to connecting and destressing with a good friend tomorrow night and sharing some Italian food and a movie at his place.

I retired last year from directing the week long summer camp. It was exhausting!
We would have it the second week of July - so June was utter chaos in our homeschool life! Then one week after our schooling finished I am a complete wreck trying to get everything organized for the camp. All done in our living room!
Then I had a week after camp of cleaning up and getting all the $ paperwork done for the parish. Needless to say this year I enjoyed copious amounts of tea.
