After spending an enjoyable lunch visit with a friend I have known since high school, I have been cooking away and prepping for two dinner parties I am hosting the next two evenings. My favourite potato salad needed to be prepared ahead, and with my friend's help (since my foot is still being uncooperative), I secured the remaining ingredients I needed for another interesting side dish I am going to try, as well as a dessert which looks rather tasty for a hot summer night. Fortunately I think that I should be able to get away with preparing once and serving twice to cover both sets of guests.
Tomorrow is lunch with the professor -- I confess, I'm rather unnerved about this one -- and then final baking and preparations for dinner party #1.
