Our associate definitely doesn't do things halfway. He's in the hospital and won't, I expect, be out until he has had surgery for a rather painful sounding internal problem, and even then, I suspect it will be a very long time before he is back to normal. Poor fellow.
Mercifully, I had the day off, though as each weekend comes and goes, I am very aware that the likelihood of my second job finally kicking in gets greater. Alas, that didn't happen today, so I ran multiple errands in the morning and made a second jaunt out to get a birthday present for someone in the afternoon. That puts me just two gifts away from being completely prepared for Christmas, recognizing that we are now exactly three months away from that monumental date.
Tomorrow I am doing what I have done every weekend this month: hitting a couple of local festivals as long as the weather cooperates. Sunday, I have another date. If it's half as painful as last time, I'll consider it a success.
