Kids

I completely forgot to mention yesterday that we finally got our children's choir off the ground. Although we were eight strong the previous week, only five showed up to show off their vocal talents. Despite that, they were really exceptional and I have had more compliments in the past two days on their efforts than I could ever have guessed. The only comment I have had to bite my tongue at repeatedly is the people who say, "Have you thought about adding new members?"

Gee, no, what a great idea! Thanks!

Anyway... we will learn a new piece on Sunday and keep adding to our repertoire, and maybe the news will actually get out that these kids have some potential and we'll gain a few new members.

Tonight was a bit towards the opposite end of the spectrum on the proud scale. I had one girl show up to our tutoring program with a bloody nose, and another boy, after goofing around and running into a classmates head with his mouth, left with a bleeding lip. If people catch wind of that, they're going to think we're running a Fight Club.
