I was the only idiot who came to work today. The secretary called in sick, and the caretaker was on a scheduled day off, so I tried to juggle all three jobs.
Fortunately, I wore my "happy pants" (my yoga pants that look exactly like dress pants, and thus, make me very happy). Without them, by the end of the day, I suspect I would have been a real grumpy pants.
In between running like an idiot for the door and the phone, I did a school visit and satiated the fears of a couple of our sacramental teachers, and then I ran a refresher for our altar servers. I announced to them at the meeting that I am changing their vestments from our ratty see-through albs to a recently located treasure trove of "everything old is new again" surplices and soutanes. Most of them were very happy with the change and they look so much better than our current albs which are covered in wax, pen and blood stains.
