As soon as I got to work this morning I turned around and left again -- and hit a nearby grocery store to buy 20 jars of baby food peas for my youth group for an event on Sunday. I spent the rest of the day working on the logistics of an event that will probably not take more than an hour, maybe 90 minutes. Labour intensive, but hopefully worth it.
I also spent some time on my lunch break thinking about a dinner party I'm hosting on Friday. I think I'm leaning towards being easy about things - doing a pasta dish, salad, bread, and some type of dessert. No need to kill myself this time, I think.
Finally, I booked tickets for a train trip in February. Exciting and scary at once; more details to come!
