Even though I am still on probation for another six months (don't ask), I am going to have my performance evaluated very soon (again, don't ask). I have been working on collecting evidence about what I have been up to and areas of strength and weakness.
Despite this impending make-it-or-break-it interview, the pastor came into my office this afternoon and asked me to administer another ministry on a permanent basis. I guess that is a sign that I am doing a good job and he seems to think I have my other ministries under control, or he wouldn't have just given me yet another thing to look after... especially when our other pastoral team member frequently complains he has nothing to do. Then again, instead of giving me more work, just saying "Good job" would go a long way...
