We received copies of an exemplar of an emergency preparedness document written at a parish elsewhere in the world. We have to develop one of our own.
On the second page, it suggests under general precautions to take ahead of any emergency: "Micro-fish of sacramental records and on-site storage".
Micro-fish? Like with a micro pond and a micro fishing pole? Maybe we can catch a micro trout?
I laughed right out loud at work. Obviously someone hasn't spent much time in libraries where microfiche is a space saver. Nor have they spent much time near dictionaries in said libraries.
And just in case you thought it was a one-time, accidental typo, they repeated it again on page 14. Awesome.

Spelling is not a requirement for diocesan (or even parish!) office.
Our RCIA leader sent out an email comment about the challis.
Challis. She wasn't talking about the lightweight summer fabric.
