Bulletin

I proofread our bulletin after the associate and secretary have finished putting it together. Often I catch a lot of errors, some bigger than others and more that I'm just being nitpicky about. One of the latter was one I noticed this week when the secretary had written "No Mass Intentions" beside our Good Friday liturgy. I crossed out "Mass" and wrote "since this is not a Mass" to provide some explanation for the deletion to her.

It was just a coincidence that the secretary showed me the bulletin again before she sent it off since I had deleted a large portion of obsolete information and replaced it with an ad of my own and she wanted to make sure I was okay with the change. Fortunately I glanced over at the Mass schedule and noticed her change for Good Friday which now read in the most condescending way, "No intentions since this is not a Mass."

I laughed and told her that information was for explanation for her only so she knew why I had crossed out the word "Mass", and was not meant for the entire congregation. She also laughed and deleted it. The perils of proofreading...
