I gave two church tours today: one to two grade 1 classes (one of the students was my little "boyfriend") and one to a grade 3 class.
We were looking through the vestments and talking about liturgical colours, with an emphasis on purple since we're in Lent. One of the grade 1s asked me, "Are you wearing purple because it's Lent?"
The teachers enjoyed my response. "No," I replied, "I'm wearing purple because it was on sale at Reitmans."
