My building was on the local news tonight after a fire broke out. It seems somebody decided to BBQ on their balcony and blew the thing up; there was thick, black smoke pouring out of their windows and off the balcony. Their action evacuated the whole building for 90 minutes, and now that we have been allowed to return, there is a lovely funky smoky smell throughout.
The latest update is that most of the fire trucks, EMS and police have left, except two cruisers, one of which must have a dead battery as the other is trying to give it a boost. It's breaking news from the scene, people.
