And boy, getting there has been exhausting! At my workistry, we spent a good chunk of the week putting together our plans for 2009-2010. I also had to do some quick brainstorming for a course I will be teaching beginning in September, and while I was in the mood, I started planning my youth group activities for the fall and even booked two guest speakers for the spring.
This morning I got some Father's Day gifts at Mountain Equipment Co-op and Chapters before heading back home and doing some chores. Tonight is grade 8 graduation; there are a few real highlights during the Mass which I am looking forward to. One is a very quiet, seemingly troubled girl I have been working with since the fall; it turns out she is a very talented musician, and will be performing for the first time in front of her classmates and family at the Mass. I can't wait to hear her share her gifts with all of us.
