Nuns and Pucks

I had a bit of a funny afternoon. On the way back from my lunch break, I was enjoying the walk to work in my capris, sandals, flowery shirt and sunglasses. As I arrived on the church property, I ran into a person I didn't know coming out of Mass who said, "You look like a nun!"

That can't ever be a compliment, can it?

I very easily convinced the boss to take me shopping in the afternoon for floor hockey equipment for my summer camp kids; it was easy to convince him since it was his idea to get the equipment. When we found what we were looking for in the store, I tried to convince him to get the smaller size of hockey stick instead of the adult model. I noted the sticks weren't uncomfortable for taller people to use, and the vast majority of the kids are much shorter than we are. Suddenly, he grabbed the shorter stick, got into a racing position and started running up and down the aisles playing fake hockey by himself. I distanced myself from him, saying, "I have never seen you before..." as he finally wrapped up his little outburst of energy and agreed that the smaller size of stick was best "for the kids". I have a feeling I'm going to arrive at work some morning and find him running around the gym playing hockey against the associate.
