Things weren't too crazy when I got back to the office, and with one exception where I had to come down a little heavy on someone, my first day back post-vacation was calm.
The boss seems to keep getting religious keychains, bracelets, necklaces, rosaries and other gifts like that from various places, so I told him he could put them in a basket in my office and I would distribute them to the youth group as I saw fit.
Today, I found a new keychain, a yellow lemon with pink stripes, with the words "Seagram's Pink Lemonade" in my basket.
"Father," I said, "I don't think we should be giving the kids keychains advertising alcohol."
"No good?" he asked.
"No, sort of like when you gave me that box of Christmas gifts for the kids and I had to take out the set of four wine glasses before a kid selected that. It sends the wrong message to them and to their parents. No good."
*shaking my head*
