First Full Sunday

We got all but one of our programs up and running in full tilt today, and the day flew by. I didn't have time to be bored, to be sure. I left the office at 9am and told the secretary I wouldn't be back until after noon, and sure enough, I wasn't. Following Mass, my new course on Vatican II, my first children's choir rehearsal (with a whopping three choristers, who thankfully are very talented) and various other minutae, I finally got back to the office, cleared out a stack of phone messages that had piled up, confirmed the program for an upcoming special event, stuffed half a peanut butter sandwich in my mouth, and bid farewell to the fourth set of exiting parishioners.

Whew!

I headed out with a fellow after work. He works for a rather iconic police force and the conversation was quite interesting and easy. We went for desserts and tea, then hit a local art festival and parted ways after a couple of hours so he can drive home in good time for work in the morning. Unfortunately he lives very far from here, but things were very positive. Who knows?
