Doctor's Visit

A conversation I actually had with my doctor this morning:

Doc: "So, are you planning on being single the rest of your life?"
Me: "I hope not."
Doc: "What are you doing about it?"
Me: "Well, I'm on this online dating site..."
Doc, interrupting: "I hope it's something reputable like the one for Catholics faithful to the Magisterium."
Me: "Um, no, it's another commercial one and everyone I have met on there has been very nice. In fact, I had a date yesterday with a very nice police officer, except he lives too far from here."
Doc: "Is he Catholic?"
Me: "Yes."
Doc: "Does he believe in the practice of NFP?"
Me, after a suitable pause: "That didn't actually come up on the first date."

Sigh.
