Class Visits

Today I made my initial class visits to the students in our sacramental years. I started with the 2s in the morning. Their teachers were having what could only be described as "an incident" and the children I visited were out of control. Yelling, screaming, running around, spitting on each other completely out of control. I kept trying to get their attention but it was a losing battle.

My little "boyfriend" was in the room and kept screaming in his high pitched little voice, "Listen to her! She's trying to tell us something important!" Unfortunately his teacher overheard his voice above all the others and he was the one who got pulled out of class for being too loud. No good deed goes unpunished in grade 2, it seems.

My visit to grade 8 was much more peaceful. The kids really listened and asked some excellent questions once they warmed up to me. One even found a loophole to some new rules -- I was so proud of him (ha ha). I think I will enjoy working with this group, and yes, even the grade 2s, once things calm down in their world a little bit.
