Cake Conundrum

Friday, November 6, 2009
I have to figure out what to write on my cake by tomorrow's final class. I will be sharing it with my office mates on Monday, so the thought of making it something related to the feast of the day crossed my mind. However, as Monday is the Dedication of St. John Lateran Basilica, I realized I might have a hard time fitting all of that lettering on a cake.

Other thoughts:
- Hello Advent
- Goodbye, Year B
- Chaos Never Dies Day (celebrated on November 9, and all too appropriate, but probably offensive)
- Eve of St. Leo Day
- "Church Name Here" Rocks

Help! What should I write on my cake?

What about something to do with the order associated with your parish? Their motto (okay that might be a little long) or crest?

Not bad, Janet - I could reference the place it comes from in the Bible.

How about: "EAT ME"

Okay, so not feast day related, but funny:)

Andrea: I didn't go with yours because I thought it might offend the sensitive among us ;), but it did inspire what I finally wrote. Thanks!

Bwah ha hah! I didn't even think of that connotation until you pointed it out. That would have been a little awkward (but still funny!)

Very funny, but I knew at least one of the gathered would pick up on that connotation and I didn't want to have to explain it to the others ;)
