I ordered my last Christmas present online a few minutes ago. While my other shopping was done in mid-October, this one last gift was unanticipated yet easily accomplished after comparing the prices at eight different stores online and purchasing it from one large retailer who was offering a $40-80 discounted price. Nice.
In other news, I'm getting a bit better at walking around in this aircast. It's a matter of rocking on the cast, heel to toe. Stairs are still the most problematic, but I have a system for them and when six weeks is up, I should have some pretty amazingly toned thigh muscles! Vacation provides a lot of opportunity for sitting, which is also helpful.
I see from my work emails that I have been cast as the director - not just the music director, as I had been previously told - of the Christmas pageant for next Sunday. I have never directed a play in my life; this should be interesting for all of us!
