- I arrived only to find there was no Internet, and therefore no Outlook, in the rectory because of a server problem -- so much for catching up on emails!
- The choir at one of the morning Masses sang a round for the Sending Forth song, except it was Immaculate Mary and wasn't meant to be sung in a round
- The last Mass went on SO long that I had to bail to get set up for another meeting and couldn't check in with my new servers to make sure they were okay after their first try as real servers
- I ran out of "serious" material for my new Youth Group and no one wanted to do the fun things that I had planned for them
One thing that did go well: I had five young kids show up to the first Youth Group meeting today, three older kids, and one adult assistant. Definitely not a poor turnout for a brand new group!

lmao re: Immaculate Mary!! M. and I just tried to sing it as a round to see how it would sound - yikers!
:))-
what type of choir would even think that would work???
That is too bizarre !!
I am in charge of the servers at our church. Our meeting and training was Sat. morning. Father booked it - though I was out at the Oratory, so the pastoral worker took down the names etc...
We snagged 9 new servers!!
We lost 7 though.
Father takes a genuine interest in the servers so I need not worry about checking in on them.
Now, I just have to put together the schedule - yuck!
Get some sleep!

Andrea: I was sitting in the front row next to a friend and we both just looked at each other, eyebrows raised, and started laughing -- I got an evil glare from the presider for that :)
Teresa: It was something to do with the time delay from the choir at the front and the organist at the back. Definitely not intentional! We had 18 new ones start this time, including at our early mass when no one wants to do anything because it is so early. I'm proud of these little guys and girls!
18!!!!
That's amazing!
The only problem with getting too many for us is that only 4 or 5 can vest - as we are limited with outfits and seating.
With only 3 masses in total and not many who sign up for the Saturday - they would serve every month and a half to two months - if we get too many on board.

I understand. We can accommodate 7 on the altar, so that helps. I had to divide two of our five masses into two teams, so they serve every second week, but I left the rest as fairly big numbered teams (6-7 per team) so they can serve every week if they are able.
