I trekked out in a blizzard yesterday to say hello -- and goodbye for the Christmas holidays -- to a group of kids with whom I work closely.   I questioned my sanity at the time, but in the end, I'm glad that I went.  I saw the principal on the way out as I was wrapping myself back up to face the snow.  He said, "You really love these kids."  Indeed, I do; there's not too many people in the world for whom I would brave a blizzard.
Now I'm contemplating a problem I was hoping not to have to experience right now.  I have a field trip scheduled for another group of my munchkins tomorrow afternoon, this time for our first social justice activity.  However, yet another significant storm is apparently on the way.   Do I wait and see what the weather does, and make the call tomorrow?  Do I make other arrangements now while I can?  Do I take the kids no matter what since it's all scheduled? 
Winter's unpredictability.  Gotta love it.
