Today was a bit of a rough one. Despite hearing some news that completely threw me off kilter for most of the day, I did manage to get some work done on the course I am teaching. That was about all I accomplished, and I'm out of the office more than I'm in the office next week. Sigh.
The boss came back from his week-long meeting in the afternoon and asked me something that should have warranted a very simple yes/no answer, but I ended up giving him a major information blast partly because I was frustrated and had been dealing with his messes since Tuesday, and partly because he needed to know all of the complicated things going on so he could pick up where I had left off. After I filled him in, I smiled and asked, "Now, don't you wish you were back at the meeting?"
It's the weekend, or at least I hope so. Two good things coming up: my computer was able to be repaired and will be back in my possession on Saturday, and it's graduation weekend, so I'm going to have the chance to see some of my favourite priesty boys.
