We finally got hit with some snow in this area for the first time this fall. I bagged my sock, then I bagged my boot and finally donned my hat, scarf and mitts, grabbed my crutches and off I went. It took me three times longer than usual to walk to work but I arrived in one piece. During the day I used my crutches to jump large puddles and small ponds around the property, but the boss had pity on me and offered me a lift home. He even offered to pick me up in the morning which was incredibly kind.
Thanks in part to the weather, I assume, things were painfully quiet in the office. I managed to get a few loose ends tied up for this weekend, dealt with some concerns a teacher expressed to me, belted out our greatest hit with the associate pastor, and then worked on a major youth group project for our first day back in January. The thinking and paperwork is done as far as that is concerned, and I have made a fairly simple list of things I will need to purchase from a dollar store for the event. I think the kids will really love it and I'm excited about it.
