We celebrated the First Communions of 38 children today. They all looked wonderful, were mostly well behaved and their parents seemed happy.
This was my last really busy Sunday and last chance for the choir to sing for six months. They did a stellar job clapping, singing and finally making their voices heard. I was extremely proud of them.
At the end of the Mass, a parent surprised me with a gift of an orchid - I love orchids! - to thank me for my hard work with the choir this year. It was truly unexpected and appreciated.
