Last Day

I've been such a social butterfly this past week - visits with three friends, and two more to go this week before I take a short vacation starting Wednesday - that I haven't had time to update.

Yesterday was my last day teaching my parent sessions on Vatican II. I did a nice little, inspiring wrap-up (I thought) of the course contents, and the three recurring themes of liturgy, laity and ecumenism. Then what to my wondering eyes should appear but my open discussion then turned into a Pope-bashing session by the parents while I tried to tow the party line and protect the Church a little bit. Not quite the happy course ending I had anticipated.

Alas, two days left at the office and I'm off to spend some quality time with the beau.
